1. I felt a feeling of tension and anxiety while the soldiers were under bombardment.

2. The bombardment reflects the theme of how war changes one's mindset. After the bombardment, the soldiers become primitive and animal like in nature.

3. The front is unsanitary due to corpses, lack of hygene, and reminants from battles.

I felt nervous for the troops in front line but it acted like a hook pulling me deeply into the book.

The bombardment shows how war may encounter many innocent people that really don't want to be there and it takes lives.

3 unsanitary conditions are
Lice
Rats
bad hygene

1. It was interesting and exciting. It hooked me in and made me want to keep reading to see what would happen next.

2. It shows how the young recruits can't really handle war much. It also shows a "desctruction of innocence" since recruits keep dying and older people (or more experienced) lose their innocence, realizing the horrors of war.

3. It's unsanitary because:
~ There's lice
~ There are rats everywhere
~ There are corpses lying around

1. I felt that most of the soldiers were scared and didn't know if they would live for much longer
2. It reflects a man's natural intinct to survive and what lenths he will go to live
3. Dead corpes lying everywhere, disease spreads among soldiers, and rats everywhere among the trenches

I started to imagine thigs and the different scenes.

The bombardment shows sighns of seperation.

The front his corrupted due to dead bodies, human wastes, and rats.
